Based in Doncaster, Sheldon Dowse and sons have been running funfairs for over 50 years, attending around 20 events each year.

Most of our events are in the Yorkshire and Lincolnshire areas, the highlight the calendar being the St Leger spectacular at Doncaster Racecourse. Each September, Dowse’s Fun Fairs are responsible for supplying over 50 rides and attractions at this, the largest fair in South Yorkshire.

Yet we also supply attractions for all types and size of events, from single rides to a full funfair, as well as kiddie rides in a number of town centres and shopping malls.

One of our main lines of business is corporate fairground hire, providing equipment for product launches, promotions, company fun days, graduation balls, TV, film work and more. Our clients including B&Q, BMW, Mini, Scunthorpe United and SureStart, so you’ll be in good company.

As well as supporting charities such as the Bluebell Wood Hospice, the NSPCC and Lions with fundraising days, we also open up our rides and attractions free of charge for the enjoyment of children with special needs. Do get in touch if you know of a good cause that deserves our support.

All our rides and attractions are full inspected and tested annually by ADIPS-qualified technicians and conform to all Health and Safety Executive standards. We also carry £10 million public liability insurance and are members of the Showmen's Guild of Great Britain.
